At TOKEN2049 in Singapore, Bitget Wallet, a prominent Web3 non-custodial wallet, unveiled its vision of making blockchain technology accessible to everyday users. In addition to engaging with the community at the conference, Bitget Wallet also took part in several partner events to advance conversations around Web3 innovation. Alvin Kan, COO of Bitget Wallet, shared the company’s approach to making Web3 more accessible by simplifying user experiences and integrating blockchain into daily routines. “The next billion Web3 users will come from seamless, user-friendly experiences that blur the boundaries between Web2 and Web3,” he explained. This vision is reflected in Bitget Wallet’s recent milestone of reaching over 30 million users globally, making it the most downloaded Web3 wallet app, according to data from the App Store and Google Play.
Bridging Web2 and Web3 Through Simplified Payments
Kan discussed Bitget Wallet’s strategy to remove barriers between Web2 and Web3, with a particular focus on payments. During a fireside chat titled “Defining Payment,” held alongside leaders from the Solana Foundation, Fireblocks, and DCS Card Centre, he introduced Bitget Wallet’s development of a Web3 payment solution featuring keyless access and cross-chain functionality, designed to make crypto payments as seamless as traditional methods. Additionally, Bitget Wallet plans to launch a crypto-to-fiat solution, allowing users to effortlessly convert and spend crypto in everyday transactions while maintaining complete control over their assets in a self-custodial wallet.
Revolutionizing Web3 Gaming in the TON Ecosystem
At the TON Open Art panel, Kan highlighted the evolution of Web3 gaming within the TON ecosystem, where Bitget Wallet is actively involved. He noted the shift from single-game models to comprehensive ecosystems designed for sustained user engagement. Future Web3 gaming, Kan suggested, will focus on long-term incentive mechanisms to maintain ongoing participation, moving away from short-lived promotional tactics like airdrops. He also emphasized the increasing importance of social elements in gaming, particularly in Telegram mini-games that tap into the platform’s extensive user base. “The next phase of Web3 gaming will merge social elements, creating deeply immersive experiences within Telegram games,” Kan remarked.
Driving Web3 Ecosystem Growth
Speaking at the Morph Consumer Day panel, Kan underscored that mainstream adoption of blockchain technology is the key to unlocking Web3’s full potential. He noted that real-world use cases will become the focus as more Web2 institutions enter the space. Bitget Wallet has already formed partnerships with over 100 mainnets, including major networks such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Base, and TON. These partnerships are integral to Bitget Wallet’s long-term strategy of developing a sustainable ecosystem through seamless user experiences and robust reward systems, bringing decentralized applications (DApps) to a wider audience. “Our goal is to empower our partners, create seamless experiences, and develop lasting incentive structures to keep users engaged within the Web3 ecosystem,” Kan concluded.
