The Block Street BSB listing on Upbit was pushed back by one hour on 7 August 2026, with the exchange moving the trading start from the originally announced 15:00 KST to 16:00 KST, according to an updated notice flagged by TradingView / CoinMarketCal. The exchange had already conditioned the launch on sufficient liquidity being secured, making a delay of this kind consistent with the terms of its original listing notice.
Upbit is adding BSB across KRW, BTC and USDT pairs. Deposits and withdrawals are supported on Ethereum only at launch; transfers arriving via any other network risk a lengthy manual return. Users must verify the Ethereum contract address before moving funds: 0xdb6ba5d510f114f9b2ea08bea7d30e32eee33411.
The opening period carries the usual Upbit restrictions. Buy orders are blocked for roughly five minutes after trading begins. Sell orders priced more than 10% below the previous day’s close face the same window of restrictions. Limit orders are the only permitted order type for approximately two hours after launch. Upbit cited a previous closing price of 211.09 KRW and a reference price of 222.34 KRW as of 11:45 KST on the day, both published before Upbit trading opened.
Before the Upbit open, CoinMarketCap reported that the listing announcement triggered a 32.5% price surge in BSB, pushing it to $0.1791. That move pre-dates any Upbit trading activity and should not be read as a post-listing price discovery event on that venue.
Block Street BSB Listing Comes Backed by Institutional-Grade Infrastructure
Block Street describes itself as on-chain capital markets infrastructure for tokenised equities and real-world assets. Its architecture, which the project calls a Unified Liquidity Layer, is built around two core products: Aqua, an RFQ-based execution engine, and Everst, a hybrid liquidation system, according to DWF Labs. The stated goal is institutional-grade execution and capital efficiency for tokenised assets, covering borrowing, margin, hedging and arbitrage.
BSB is the protocol’s governance and utility token. Holders use it for governance votes, staking and ecosystem incentives. Total supply is fixed at 1 billion tokens, with 207.75 million BSB (20.775% of supply) expected to circulate around the token generation event. CoinGecko lists BSB deployments across Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Base and Mantle, though Upbit supports Ethereum transfers only at this stage.
$11.5 Million Raise and a Monad-First Launch Sequence
Block Street closed an $11.5 million strategic funding round in October 2025, led by Hack VC, with participation from Generative Venture, DWF Labs, StudioB and Bridge34. According to VentureBurn, the round also included angel investors from Jane Street and Hudson River Trading (HRT), adding market-making pedigree to the cap table.
DWF Labs stated that the capital is earmarked for systems engineering and risk hires, expanding market-maker programmes, strengthening issuer connectivity, completing security audits, and preparing for mainnet launch. The team includes veterans from Point72, Citadel and Google, per the DWF Labs announcement.
On sequencing, Block Street plans to deploy its infrastructure on Monad first before expanding to Ethereum, BNB Chain and Base. That launch order means the Upbit BSB listing, which routes through Ethereum only, arrives ahead of the protocol’s primary target deployment environment being live.
The immediate event to watch is whether the 16:00 KST start holds. Upbit’s liquidity condition remains in place, so a further delay remains possible. Once trading opens, the two-hour limit-order window will be the binding constraint for traders looking to use market orders. Any post-open price move on Upbit will be the first real venue-specific price discovery for BSB, distinct from the pre-listing surge reported by CoinMarketCap.
