XRP spot ETF inflows have crossed $1.8 billion in cumulative net flows since the seven US products launched in November 2025, with Bloomberg Intelligence analyst James Seyffart putting the total at that level, per CryptoNews.net.
XRP Spot ETF Inflows: The August Acceleration
August 2026 was the funds’ best month of the year, with XRP spot ETF inflows exceeding $150 million, according to Yahoo Finance. That cleared the previous 2026 monthly high of $131.94 million set in May, with over $110 million arriving in the final week alone.
The first half of the month was largely dormant. According to BigGo Finance, citing SoSoValue data, seven of the month’s first 11 trading sessions recorded zero net inflows. Demand then re-engaged at $5.81 million on 18 August, $2.35 million on 19 August, and $13.24 million on 20 August.
Trading volume across all seven products hit a record $125 million on 20 August, per crypto.news. The following session on 22 August brought $18.38 million in net inflows, the strongest single-day result since 14 May, according to Altcoin Buzz citing SoSoValue data, with the week containing that session producing $39.78 million in total flows, also the funds’ best week since May.
The streak extended through the month’s close. BigGo Finance, citing SoSoValue data, reports the funds collected $13.82 million on 24 August and $23.87 million on 25 August, stretching the consecutive-inflow run to nine trading sessions and pushing cumulative net flows to approximately $1.6 billion. By 31 August, that figure had reached $1.67 billion, per yellow.com, even as XRP retraced toward $1.38. Yellow.com also reports nine straight weeks of positive flows as of the latest data.
Fund-Level Breakdown and What the Balance Sheets Show
Among the seven funds, crypto.news data as of 24 August shows the Bitwise XRP ETF leading with approximately $542 million in cumulative net inflows, followed by Canary Capital at roughly $468 million and Franklin Templeton at $434 million.
The Bitwise fund trades on NYSE Arca under the ticker XRP with a 0.34% expense ratio, using Coinbase Custody Trust Co. as digital asset custodian, per the Bitwise XRP ETF official fund page. As of 16 August 2026, the fund reported net assets of $298.8 million and 26,760,000 shares outstanding.
Those inflows have held up despite weak underlying performance. StockTitan, citing SEC filings, reports the Bitwise fund recorded a -43.01% total return for H1 2026, as NAV per share fell from $20.46 at end-2025 to $11.66 at 30 June 2026, reflecting XRP’s move from $1.82 to $1.04. The Trust’s net assets still reached $299.1 million by 30 June 2026, with 286.8 million XRP held, because net share creations offset the price drawdown. The Trust recorded a net decrease in net assets from operations of $176.6 million over the period, nearly all of it from realised and unrealised losses on XRP.
That dynamic, assets growing through inflows while NAV per share fell, is the structural story of XRP ETFs in 2026: institutional allocators kept buying into a falling asset.
XRP Spot ETF Inflows Without BlackRock
The flows exist against some institutional caution. According to CoinAlertNews, JPMorgan exited its reported Bitwise XRP ETF position in mid-August 2026, and BlackRock stated it has no immediate plan for a spot XRP ETF. BlackRock’s absence is the material ceiling: its iShares Bitcoin ETF drove a substantial share of the BTC ETF category’s early AUM growth, and a comparable XRP product would represent a step-change in institutional reach for the asset class.
On the network side, Yahoo Finance reports XRP ledger daily active addresses grew approximately 35% in August 2026, though new-address creation stayed flat, indicating existing users increased activity rather than a broad user-base expansion.
XRP remains well below its July 2025 all-time high of $3.65, having traded around $1.54 as recently as mid-March 2026, per yellow.com. BlackRock’s next public statement on a potential XRP product is the binary event the market is waiting on.
