ZetaChain, the creator of the Universal Blockchain, has teamed up with Google Cloud to strengthen its ecosystem of over 280 decentralized apps (dApps). This collaboration leverages Google Cloud’s infrastructure, security features, and validator services to provide ZetaChain developers with the support they need to build on a blockchain that enables universal access across multiple networks. Together, they’re aiming to make the crypto landscape as accessible, interconnected, and dynamic as the internet itself.
As part of the collaboration, Google Cloud now serves as a validator for ZetaChain across both mainnet and testnet environments. This partnership fortifies ZetaChain’s network with a diverse range of institutional and community validators, ensuring a more secure and scalable blockchain ecosystem. With Google Cloud’s Protocol Accelerator tools, ZetaChain developers can now streamline processes like validator node setup, key management, and security—making it easier for developers worldwide to participate in ZetaChain’s universal vision.
Adding to this commitment, ZetaChain has allocated a total of 1 million ZETA tokens to validators hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure, with each of five validators receiving 200,000 ZETA. This delegation reinforces the stability and growth of ZetaChain’s ecosystem, encouraging secure and scalable validation for the dApp community. Ankur Nandwani, a Core Contributor at ZetaChain, noted, “We’re excited to work with Google Cloud to enhance user experience and provide unified liquidity to the next generation of Web3 users. By using Google Cloud technology, we’re advancing the development of Universal Apps that natively operate across Bitcoin and other blockchains from a single platform.”
Richard Widmann, Head of Web3 Strategy at Google Cloud, shared a similar enthusiasm, stating that Google Cloud is committed to empowering developers with the infrastructure needed to shape the future of decentralized applications. Google Cloud’s validator capabilities are intended to help ZetaChain grow and expand interoperability for Web3 developers.
Additionally, developers on ZetaChain will benefit from resources offered through the Google Cloud Web3 Startups Program, which includes eligibility for Google Cloud credits. This support helps ZetaChain developers focus on building next-generation Universal Smart Contracts that are natively accessible from ZetaChain and any connected blockchain, including Bitcoin. Google Cloud’s Testnet Faucet will also enable developers to easily access ZETA testnet tokens, essential for testing and deploying Universal Smart Contracts.
This collaboration marks a significant milestone for ZetaChain, which has quickly gained momentum since its launch earlier this year. With over 4 million unique wallets connected and 150 million transactions to date, ZetaChain is positioned as a leader in chain abstraction. The partnership with Google Cloud is expected to grow staking, governance participation, and node operation ease, providing developers with a seamless platform to build the next wave of decentralized applications.
As the first universal blockchain to offer native access to networks like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana, ZetaChain empowers developers to build Universal Apps that can operate fluidly across multiple blockchains.
